Cullenstown Beach

Cullenstown beach is a beautiful beach where you can go for lovely coastal walk,go fishing or even go for a swim.

It is a picturesque place to visit. The beach overlooks Ballyteige Burrow Nature Reserve, The Saltee’s Island and Keeragh Island.

On the beach there is a ball alley where locals and tourist use to play handball, tennis, squash and football.

The ball alley was funded and built by the locals of Cullenstown village in 1912. In the 1940′s the side “wings” were built again by the locals. In the 60′s and 70′s it was often used as a dance hall. Then handball, volleyball, tennis and squash started to take over.
